URBANA, Ill. (Oct. 17, 2013) – Rainbow International of East Central Illinois held the 1st Annual Golf Outing Sept. 16, 2013 to benefit the Prairielands Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The golf outing raised $9,860 for the Boy Scouts. Members of Rainbow International of East Central Illinois presented a check to Champaign, Ill., Boy Scout Executive Timothy Manard.
The money raised, along with a truck valued at $5,500 that was donated by a sponsor, will go to support the Boy Scouts summer camp.
“Our youth of America are so important,” said Rainbow International of East Central Illinois owner, David Crow. “We just wanted to do something that showed we support the youth
and everything the Boy Scouts of America do for kids today. Our hope by doing this is so that kids can enjoy everything that the Boy Scouts of America has to offer. We are so overwhelmed with all the support from the community and the enthusiasm of everyone at the Boy Scouts Prairielands Council.”
