Jim is the owner of L. I. Combs & Sons, Inc., a general contracting company that has been in business since 1917, and has been personally in the construction business since 1978. Jim, along with Dawn Wright and Keith Henry, decided to purchase their Rainbow International® franchise in spring of 2010.
Jim’s general contracting company has built hundreds of commercial office buildings, restaurants, hospital additions and renovations and well as upwards of 2000 multifamily housing units as well as hundreds of single family homes. He has a vast knowledge of the construction industry that helps in the restoration services offered by Rainbow International® of Northwest Indiana.
Jim grew up and resides in Porter County and received his BS in Marketing from Valparaiso University in 1976. He is a licensed Real Estate broker with the GRI designation. He has successfully completed the following IICRC accredited training: Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Fire & Smoke Restoration and Applied Microbial Remediation.
With more than two decades of experience working in the construction services industry, Keith Henry serves as the Vice President of Operations for Rainbow International® of Northwest Indiana. Keith is responsible for field training, technical services and project management, as well as safety coordinator and quality control.
With Rainbow International® of Northwest Indiana since opening, Keith's has a wealth of construction knowledge and practical experience in the industry. He has successfully completed the following IICRC accredited training: Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Fire & Smoke Restoration, Odor Control and Carpet Cleaning. He is also an EPA Certified Renovator.
Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Tom joined Rainbow International® of Northwest Indiana in July 2010 as a Business Developer for the new Valparaiso start-up franchise. He quickly received his WRT certification by the IICRC before going out on his routes developing his client list. Tom has over 15 years experience in sales and consulting with local contractors of all trades, risk managers, insurance professionals, adjusters, home inspectors, and property managers.
Tom’s current task is to help educate the insurance professionals of Northwest Indiana on Rapid Structural Drying. He also coordinates annual Continuing Education Classes (CE’s), a monthly newsletter (Rainbow Insights), and makes routine visits for branding and promotional opportunities through networking events.
